Downgrading a plan

Sometimes a leaner setup is all that is needed. Downgrading a subscription in Appointible — fewer users, or monthly instead of yearly billing — is done from the Billing page under Settings > Subscription.

Open billing

1. Log in to Appointible.
2. Click the profile picture in the top right corner.
3. Select Billing from the menu.

Open edit subscription

1. On the Billing page, find the plan section at the top, which shows the plan name and number of users.
2. Click Edit subscription.

Choose a smaller subscription

1. Under Number of users, lower the number of users with the stepper. The plan cannot have fewer users than your active team — to go lower, remove team members in Settings > Workspace > Team first.
2. Choose the billing period: Pay monthly or Pay yearly.
3. Review the new total in the Selected plan summary.

Confirm downgrade

1. Click Update subscription.
2. The downgrade is scheduled, not applied straight away: it takes effect when the current subscription period ends, so the current cycle is fully used. Until then, the plan section on the Billing page shows Plan change scheduled with the date.

If something looks off in the price or plan details, click Cancel before confirming and double-check the options again. To undo a downgrade that is already scheduled, click Discard scheduled change on the Billing page. While a change is scheduled, nothing else about the subscription can be changed.

Switch to the Free plan

1. In the Edit subscription panel, click Switch to Free.
2. The panel lists what must change first before your account fits the Free plan limits — for example, more active team members or more locations than the Free plan allows — with a link to fix each one.
3. Click Contact support to downgrade manually to have the team complete the switch.

Before downgrading

A few quick checks help avoid surprises after a downgrade:

• Team members – make sure the new number of users covers everyone on the team who needs access.
• Features – confirm that essential features are included in the new plan.
• SMS credits – free included plan credits follow the new, smaller tier at the next renewal ($8 per team member per month, or $60 per team member per year on annual billing). Purchased credits are kept. See Understanding SMS Credits and the per-country texting rates.
