Buying SMS Credits
Sometimes SMS reminders are just a bit too popular and the balance starts running low. In those moments, it helps to quickly buy extra SMS credits directly from the Billing page.
Included plan credits
Every Pro plan already includes free texting credit: $8 per team member per month, or $60 per team member per year on annual billing, refreshed every billing period. The balance shown on the Billing page combines those included plan credits with any purchased credits. Messages are billed per 160-character segment and the cost varies by destination country — see the texting rates page for exact prices, and Understanding SMS Credits for the full picture.
Accounts subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play receive the same free included plan credits and buy additional credits from the web Billing page.
Opening Billing
- Log in to the Appointible account.
- Click the profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select Billing from the menu, or open it directly at https://app.appointible.com/account/billing.
On this page, the SMS credits panel shows the current balance, including plan credits and any manually purchased credits.
Checking SMS usage
Before buying more, it can be helpful to see how fast SMS credits are being used.
- In the SMS credits panel, click Details to open the usage view.
- Review recent SMS activity and remaining balance.
Buying SMS credits
- In the SMS credits panel on the Billing page, click Buy credits.
- Enter the amount of SMS credits to purchase. The system will show the cost before confirming.
- Confirm the payment details, then click Purchase.
After the purchase is completed, the new credits are added to the available balance. This balance includes both plan credits and any manually purchased credits, so everything is kept in one tidy place.
Tips for planning
- I recommend checking the SMS credits panel regularly, especially during busy seasons, to avoid running out of credits at the worst possible time.
- If SMS usage is consistently high, it can help to review the current subscription on the Billing page and adjust the plan so the included credits better match actual usage.
