Changing Calendar Settings

Calendar settings control how the calendar grid looks and what a new appointment needs before it can be saved. They apply to the whole workspace and live on the Calendar settings page.

Open Calendar settings

  1. Open Calendar settings under Settings ▸ Calendar and schedule.

Set the calendar grid

  • Start time — the earliest hour the calendar shows. Required.
  • Interval — the height of one row on the calendar, for example 15 or 30 minutes. Required.
  • First day of the week — Monday or Sunday. See Changing the First Day of the Week.
  • Card color preference — what decides the colour of an appointment card: the service provider, the service or the room.
  • Extra field (1) and Extra field (2) — custom fields shown on the appointment card. Pick None to hide one. To create custom fields, see Extending Clients With Fields.
  • Default mode — the view the calendar opens in. Required.

Require a service provider or a room

  • Service provider required — when on, an appointment cannot be saved without a service provider. Turn it off to allow unassigned appointments.
  • Room required — when on, an appointment cannot be saved without a room. See Reserving Equipment for Appointments for how rooms and equipment are reserved.

Save

  1. Click Save. Saving with nothing changed does nothing.
  2. Open the Calendar to check the grid. Create a test appointment to confirm the rules apply.
