Time zones, date formats, and decimal separators can be a bit of a circus if they do not match what is used every day. Here is how to quickly align Appointible with the local time zone and time and number formatting.
Navigating To Settings
To open the General settings page, either:
- Go directly to General, or
- Click Settings in the left menu and select General under Workspace.
Opening Time & currency
On the General page, scroll to the Time & currency card. This is where the account time zone and the time and number format are controlled.
Updating Time And Number Format
The fastest way to get everything in sync is to adjust the format. One small change here usually fixes several things at once.
- Open the Time & number format list and search for the country or region that matches the preferred formatting.
- Check the Example line under the field to see how times and numbers will look. For example:
- Time format, such as 2:30 PM vs 14:30
- Number format, such as 1,234.56 vs 1.234,56
- Confirm the correct Time zone is selected. This is the default time zone for the account; each location also has its own time zone, set on the location in Settings > Workspace > Locations.
- Click Save in the Time & currency card to apply the changes.
What Changes After Saving
After saving the new settings, Appointible will:
- Display times using the chosen time format and time zone.
- Format prices and other numbers using the correct decimal and thousands separators.
If something still looks off after saving, try refreshing the browser tab or signing out and back in from the Login page.
